Metro's Orange Line connects Warner Center with the North Hollywood Metro Rail station and is the first of its kind in California. What makes it so unique is that it's actually an old railroad line being converted to an exclusive transitway for safe, rapid service. Free from traffic, sleek, stylish vehicles travel along this path, making stops at designated stations just as a train does.
Spaced approximately one mile apart, the Orange Line includes 13 stations at major activity centers such as Valley College, the Van Nuys Government Center and Pierce College. The stations feature original art as well as lighting, seating, security cameras, public telephones, bicycle racks and ticket-vending machines. Station signage displays passenger wait time, along with other operating information.
