plan your trip:

The most important preparation a rider can make is to plan your trip. These tools are available to assist you in trip planning:

hours of operation:

BurbankBus operates service during morning (5:30am - 10:30am) and afternoon/evening (2:30pm - 8:00pm) commute hours, Monday through Friday. Please see specific route schedules for exact times of service.

At this time burbank bus does NOT offer mid-day service.

BurbankBus does not operate on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

get on the bus:

When the bus arrives, look at the destination signs on the front and side. The sign will tell you where the bus is going. More than one bus route may serve an area, and not all routes operate at all times. Be sure to get on the right bus!

Pull the signal cord above the window about one block before your stop. some vehicles may not be equiped with a signal cord, kindly inform the driver of your destination when you board. If you are unfamiliar with the area, ask the driver to assist you. The driver will announce major stops.

fares:

BurbankBus is free to passengers transfering to or from Metrolink or Metro transit services with valid proof of passage.

valid proof of passage includes:

  • metrolink monthly pass
  • metrolink 10-trip ticket
  • metrolink one-way or roundtrip ticket *may only be used on date of ticket

  • metro monthly EZ pass

all other passengers are $1.00.

We ask all our customers to follow some simple "rules of the road" guidelines to ensure an enjoyable ride for all.

rules of the road:

  • passenger pick-up and drop-off is limited to posted stops only.
  • passengers may not speak with the driver while the bus is in motion.
  • damage to city property/vehicle is grounds for revocation of passage.
  • no offensive language is allowed while riding burbank bus.

bikes on buses:

All buses have a bike rack that will carry up to two bikes. To use these racks look at the diagram below and follow these simple steps.

how to load your bike on the bus racks:

Signal the driver before you load a bike.

  • squeeze the handle to lower the rack.
  • load your bike into an empty slot.
  • raise the support arm up and over the front tire.

how to unload your bike:

As you near your stop, tell the driver you will be removing your bike.

  • lift support arm up and off of the tire.
  • raise your bike out of the rack.
  • if your bike is the last one in the rack, squeeze the handle and lift the rack into its upright position.
